Sound Law Group LLP, a distinguished family law firm located in San Francisco, welcomes applications for the position of Associate Attorney. Our premier boutique firm is consistently recognized for its exceptional service, legal expertise, and client impact throughout the family law process.
Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Associate Attorney with 4-10 years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in handling complex family law cases, demonstrating a strong ethical foundation, impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive cases toward resolution. As a remote-friendly firm, we value individuals who can harmonize teamwork and autonomy effectively. We would STRONGLY prefer an in-state candidate, but will consider out of state applicants that have their CA bar license and live somewhere that has quick flights to California.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Expertise:
Draft and respond to Requests for Orders (RFOs).
Appear at law and motion hearings.
Collaborate on trial preparation.
Discovery Proficiency
Develop discovery plans in collaboration with partners.
Propound discovery requests.
Review and evaluate evidence.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Draft discovery motions.
Case Management Efficiency
Identify and analyze legal issues.
Utilize case management software for efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
Interface with experts.
Additional Information
Associates actively participate in managing cases, interacting with clients, and collaborating with experts.
Our firm operates in a casual yet professional environment, providing high-caliber services to clients.
Geographical flexibility is required, with the ability to make court appearances in the Bay Area when needed.
Requirements
California Bar License.
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and court appearances within the Bay Area.
Familiarity with family law proceedings and procedural nuances.
Ability to contribute collaboratively to attorney teams while managing cases independently.
