The Pharmacy Intern in the National Pharmacy Benefits Consulting team will be directly involved in the support of our clients and internal projects.

Essential Functions

The Intern will assist with a variety of pharmacy benefits clinical research and analytical projects for clients. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Support ongoing formulary technical reviews.
  • Assist with ad-hoc client requests that require clinical research regarding drug reviews and PBM or other vendor clinical programs.
  • Assist with research and development regarding pharmacy cost and utilization, drug trends and clinical studies.
  • Support of national research, analytical and development efforts to advance pharmacy benefits consulting capabilities, deliverables and services.
  • Minimum second year of studies in a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
  • Strong technical/analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of PBM providers, products, services, financial, data reporting, contracting and negotiating elements and processes is helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and cooperation skills combined with demonstrated multi-tasking skills.
  • Previous work experience in a professional service environment is desirable but not mandatory.
