Job title: USN Group 4 and 5 UAS and Vigilant Spirit SME

LOCATION: Remote, Pensacola, FL Preferred

STATUS: Full-time

Carley is seeking to hire a dedicated subject matter expert to provide subject matter expertise to our Instructional Design team for Naval Air Vehicle Pilot Training System (NAVPTS) courseware and Vigilant Spirit (VS) User’s Manual development.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AT CARLEY:

  • Create the Vigilant Spirit (VS) User’s Manual that describes how to use VS and its Desk Top Trainer. SME will be required to spend time at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola to work with FIT and Carley personnel.
  • Assist Instructional Designers in interpreting technical data (input from Government SMEs, publications, Technical Manuals, curriculum, etc.), reviewing, providing recommendations to include content for training courseware and recommending training scenarios.
  • Articulate how the courseware technical and operational data is important and relevant to the NAVPTS.
  • Explain or describe technical and operational processes to others in a concise, technical, and professional manner.
  • Complete assigned tasks that are technically correct and are submitted according to the agreed upon schedule.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
  • May be able to work remotely from current home location.
  • Must be available during core business hours to participate in team meetings.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned and needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a pilot in Group 4 and 5 UAS – REQUIRED
  • Working knowledge of Vigilant Spirit Training Device– REQUIRED
  • Experience in a supervisory position – REQUIRED
  • Experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - REQUIRED
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills – REQUIRED
  • Previous NFO Instructor experience – PREFERRED
  • Local to NAS Pensacola – PREFERRED
  • Due to the nature of the work at Carley, this position requires U.S. citizenship – REQUIRED.

  • Employees living 50 miles or less of the Carley corporate office will be deemed as local and must have the ability and means to support onsite hours – REQUIRED.
