Senior IoT Architect (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • You design and implement architectures that connect OT environments, including machine connectivity and sensors, to cloud platforms.
  • You lead the integration of industrial protocols such as OPC-UA, S7, and other relevant systems with cloud solutions.
  • You collaborate with operational and IT teams to ensure a smooth and secure data flow between OT and cloud environments.
  • You champion best practices in IIOT-to-cloud connectivity, ensuring robustness, security, and scalability.
  • You stay updated with the latest trends in OT, cloud, and IIOT to drive continuous innovation.
  • You mentor and guide teams on best practices for OT-to-cloud integrations.
  • You collaborate in an agile setting with cross-functional teams to ensure IIOT-centric needs are met.
  • You leverage knowledge of the paper industry to tailor solutions that address specific challenges and opportunities.
  • You work on a broad variety of digital technology projects (including Industry 4.0, Robotic Process Automation, etc.)
  • You support us in our digital transformation by advancing the implementation of our WEPA.cloud

Your Profile

  • Qualification:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IIOT, OT, or a similar role, with a focus on connecting OT environments to cloud platforms.
    • Demonstrated success in designing and rolling out OT-to-cloud solutions.
    • Relevant certifications in IIOT, OPC-UA, cloud architectures, or related fields are a plus.
  • Experience and Know-how:
    • Deep expertise in connecting OT environments, including machine connectivity and sensors, to cloud platforms.
    • Proficient in industrial protocols like OPC-UA, S7, and related control systems.
    • Strong understanding of cloud architectures and how they integrate with OT systems.
    • Familiarity with the paper industry and its unique operational challenges.
    • Strong proponent of agile methodologies and practices.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the evolving IIOT and cloud landscapes.
  • Languages: Fluent in English

    • Exceptional communicator, adept at explaining intricate OT and cloud concepts to diverse stakeholders.
    • Collaborative spirit, thriving in cross-functional environments.
    • Self-motivated with a passion for integrating traditional industrial processes with modern cloud solutions.
