What We Are Looking For

As an integral member of our Denver, CO or Dania Beach, FL based Development Teams, the Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting customer facing systems with a focus on delivering scalable solutions for our fast-growing business.

Position Responsibilities

Develop code, scripts, extracts, and other artifacts required to solve complex technical issues
Contribute to design documents and participate in design reviews
Be proactive and inquisitive in finding solutions
Work closely with Product, Operations and Finance to help troubleshoot, identify, and solve software issues
Determine severity and impact of issues on the business and communicate status to Management
Work both independently and with a group of highly skilled developers
Be flexible with work hours and schedule; provide on-demand support as needed
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education:

Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.

Expertise & Experience

1-2 years experience with MySQL or other relational database technologies (proficient in SQL)
Python
PHP
JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
Shell scripting
Working knowledge of REST principles
NoSQL DB knowledge is a plus
Network and Linux troubleshooting skills is a plus
Familiarity with unit tests or testing frameworks a plus
Familiarity with Agile methodologies or SDLC
Security awareness and secure coding practices
Understanding of continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) practices
Experience with Git and version control
Successfully communicate technical issues clearly to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge and understanding
Effectively and efficiently solve mission critical technical problems in a fast-paced business environment
