Job Summary
Our dynamic Ethos team is seeking a full-time Collections Specialist. This role is responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payments from clients. Our ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to stay organized. Ideally this role would be hybrid (50% in our Broussard, LA office & 50% WFH), but open to 100% remote.
Responsibilities
Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect.
Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.
Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
Provide thorough and accurate documentation to customer accounts through our communication channels
Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.
Research duplicate payments or unapplied payments for proper application or refund.
Other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma is required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
Experience in collections, customer service, sales, or finance is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
This role is eligible for hybrid in office environment in our Broussard, LA office & WFH or 100% remote.
Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/printer.
Frequent communication via telephone and in person co-workers.

Salary: $18 - $20 per hour
