Job Summary
NetApp provides data management solutions through the public cloud hyperscalers. Our growing public cloud services team is looking to bring in a talented technical individual who is motivated to make a difference to our company’s success with Amazon Web Services FSx for NetApp ONTAP in the healthcare and life sciences sector. FSxN is a first-party service, owned, managed, and supported by AWS.
This pre-sales engineering hire will be based in the Northeast United States, working to identify and understand healthcare workloads, architect compliant solutions, demo, design and run proof-of-concepts and onboard customers into active consumption. Much of the customer engagement will be done in cooperation with AWS, where we are providing the technical expertise of NetApp ONTAP offered natively by AWS.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience architecting storage solutions for healthcare organizations
- Experience with HIPAA/HITECH compliant workload migrations
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure and clinical workflows
- Solid understanding of data protection and disaster recovery in regulated environments
- Prior experience working with AWS services, particularly storage services
- Background in storage architecture and data management
- Strong understanding of ONTAP fundamentals and features
- Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience presenting technical solutions to healthcare IT decision makers
- Track record of successful project delivery in healthcare environments
Technical expertise required:
- Healthcare application workflows (PACS, EMR, Clinical)
- Storage protocols and systems
- Cloud migration methodologies
- HIPAA/HITECH compliance frameworks
- AWS storage services
- ONTAP data management features
- Infrastructure automation and scripting
The role requires:
- 40% travel to healthcare organizations
- Located in Northeast US
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Ability to build relationships with healthcare IT leaders
This position focuses on healthcare and life sciences initiatives while working closely with our AWS partnership team to drive adoption of cloud storage solutions in regulated environments.
Education
Preferred qualifications:
- AWS certifications
- Healthcare industry certifications
- Experience with genomics/research data workflows
- Background in compliance and security frameworks
- Prior experience with NetApp products
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 228,735 - 296,010 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
