Real Chemistry is looking for a Group Director join our growing Global Inclusion and Health Equity team!

The Global Inclusion and Health Equity (GIHE) team applies data driven, inclusion and health equity solutions that seamlessly connects dots across the Real Chemistry ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is an expert in inclusive, integrated marketing and communications, and has the ability to shape impact-driven programming which improves health outcomes for historically marginalized people.

This position will work across key accounts and carries with it a broad, demanding set of responsibilities in the support of assigned client engagements.

As healthcare companies increasinglyfocus on health equity as a business imperative, the GIHE team partners with clients on initiatives at the corporate, commercial, clinical and community levels. We leverage our ROOTED engagement model, which applies evidence-based best practices to address the root causes that drive inequities. This includes culturally-responsive and respectful campaigns, programmatic initiatives which address social, structural, racial determinants to effectively reach and engage HCPs, patients and communities.

Work performed in this role will help position our clients as patient-centric leaders who incorporate the patient voice and perspective into every aspect of their work, from health education and literacy to clinical trials, drug development, and the launch of new therapies.

This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

What You’ll Do

Your position at Real Chemistry will focus on supporting the ongoing management and coordination of the various health equity-related projects and campaigns we develop and deliver. All aspects of this position are critical to the success of Real Chemistry and your role within the organization. As such, your primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manage multiple GIHE client engagements of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional client relationship skills and provide excellence in client service.
  • Seamlessly flex between providing health equity related strategic development/ad hoc guidance, content development, storytelling and assure execution of associated tactics are flawless.
  • Be a thought partner with senior leads in developing key opportunities to grow business, providing subject matter expertise and experience in health equity and community-centered activities.
  • Develop high-level and persuasive marketing and communications plans centered on integrated campaigns and activations to drive health equity among intended audience.
  • Lead operational and GIHE account management efforts and be accountable for the financial performance of engagements through close management of budgets and team members.
  • Act as a gate-keeper in identifying red flags and recommending proactive solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Escalate problems and risks appropriately using sound judgement and technical knowledge.
  • Manage client budgets and resourcing, budget tracking, staffing and billability.
  • Ensure the quality of the account team(s) is held to the highest standard and that all client requests are handled in a strategic and timely manner.
  • Partner with shared service leads to execute integrated business activations (social media/digital, creative), and help to develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage at least one direct report to promote continuous learning and development.
  • Train junior staff on Real Chemistry processes, account management responsibilities and the healthcare / digital landscape.
  • Understand cross-functional capabilities and motivates cross-functional teamwork.
  • Motivate teams through engaging and active management and career development practices.
  • Set clear performance objectives and utilizes all management tools to communicate alignment and performance measures.

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience is required
  • Must have inclusive integrated marketing and communications healthcare experience; health equity experience
  • Thorough understanding of the ever-changing digital and offline experience landscape
  • Exceptional project management skills: demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets
  • Excellent business communication skills: - - Informal/formal presentation and writing skills; including presenting to clients - Skilled in data communication
  • Can explain complex technical terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand
  • Able to develop final documents and presentations and guide strategy for junior staff
  • Able to communicate critical information to management and the client
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong and productive client relationships
  • Able to develop solutions to client needs and problems: - Collaborates with internal partners to strategize ideas - Researches the market to identify trends and data to support ideas
  • Understands program objectives and strategies
  • Ability to direct and synthesize research for new business
  • Have a professional presence, perform with a sense of urgency and with a profound client service orientation
  • High energy, able to effectively operate in fast-paced, growing and evolving environment

Pay Range: $165,000 - $185,000

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
