Job description

Devire IT Outsourcing is a form of cooperation dedicated to IT professionals, based on the principles of own business - B2B, implementing projects for clients running innovative and modern projects.

Our client is one of the world's largest food and beverage companies. As a key step in scaling up our client's Supply Chain Analytics team, we are looking for a Data Engineer to drive and support data ingestion, staging, processing and serving using MS Azure services.


  • Salary: 100-130 PLN net+VAT/h (B2B)
  • Location: Warsaw, remote position with occasional visits in the office every 1-2 months
  • Language: communication in English daily


Requirements

Developing, optimizing & maintaining big data (ELT/ETL) pipelines for business intelligence and statistical modeling purposes

Ensuring & monitoring data quality and integrity

Setting up and configuring data storage systems (e.g., SQL databases, data lakes)

Managing and supporting production use of connections between key elements of data infrastructure

Writing and maintaining secure, robust, scalable, and efficient code that transforms business concepts into tangible solutions

Driving engineering best practices like automation, CI/CD, and maintainability

Supporting standardization and automation by following best practices and common development standards

Collaborating with BI analysts, data scientists, ML engineers, and core IT in cross-functional teams, delivering value through data solutions.


Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Extensive skills in Python, SQL, MDX, and Bash scripting
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure data components (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Blob Storage, SharePoint, Databricks)
  • Expertise in data workflow orchestration (ADF, Databricks Jobs, and potentially Airflow)
  • Strong proficiency in version control and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools
  • Experience working with Snowflake within the Azure cloud environment
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, including cataloging & metadata, data lineage, master data management, security, and compliance



Additionally, it would be a plus to have:

  • Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse as a data source
  • Azure Data Engineer or Data Analytics certification
  • Understanding of BI tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with PySpark or Scala
