Job Description Summary

As a Commercial Leader on the Services Sourcing team, you will strategize and lead the aftermarket relationship between GE Aerospace and key suppliers. The Commercial Leader role is the spot within Sourcing that is closest to the customer and to value-generation in the area of maintenance, repair and overhaul. In this position, you will grow your understanding of the full product life cycle and the aftermarket opportunities that are a crucial part of our suppliers’ commercial landscape. Your substantial contributions to GE Aerospace’s business will require, and will also be a catalyst for, deep and broad relationships within our MRO shops, product lines, fleet support management, and customer teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manages and executes strategy, relationships, and written contracts with suppliers. Drives supplier issue resolution, deploying GE Aerospace’s leverage and relationships to impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, in that order.
  • Use strong commercial awareness and negotiation skill to influence outcomes both in long-term strategic matters and shorter-term deals that seize on opportunities.
  • Leads cross-functional teams and projects. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Impacts the team's ability to achieve objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives and requirements. Regularly advises management in the function and in the business. Has a substantial role in decision-making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve needed outcomes.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Sourcing & Sourcing Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

The salary range for this position is $126,700 – 180,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
