We are looking for an Environment Artist II to join a new multi-genre third person open world game team. The ideal candidate is someone who has extensive world building and object modeling experience and can support development across both disciplines as needed.
Responsibilities
You will work closely with studio leadership to create 3D levels and assets based on visual, technical and gameplay requirements
You will ensure all asset types have established budgets and are optimized for the engine
Active participant in team discussions, critiques and reviews
Perform as an important contributor of the world production process to create believable and engaging environments .
You will actively share progression and knowledge within area of expertise and influence related disciplines
Active participant in team discussions, critiques and reviews
You will have the ability to keep your team updated on your work when operating remotely.
You will own your work, able to balance artistic direction and technical constraints
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience combined as an Environment Artist and Object Modeler in game development
Strong understanding of scene composition, layout, materials, color, and lighting
Ability to balance art quality and performance optimizations
A passion for video games
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). $103,200 - $145,600 USD
Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs)
$111,800 - $151,800 USD
Jersey City, NJ
$117,300 - $145,600 USD
New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo)
$92,600 - $145,600 USD
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane)
$92,600 - $135,600 USD
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
