Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support initiatives to shape global public policy in line with Viatris’ mission of empowering people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to assess public policy and its impact on Viatris and access to medicine, including through data analysis, news summaries, and literature reviews.

  • Draft materials to support Viatris’ public policy efforts, including research-based papers and fact sheets.

  • Communicate analysis and significance of new policy developments to senior leaders.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their junior undergraduate year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a public health, political science, business, economics degree program (or a related field of study, at either the undergraduate or graduate level). A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

  • Must possess excellent research and writing skills, adaptability to respond to variable duties, strong verbal communication skills, solid organizational ability, and a passion for learning.

  • Preference for knowledge of public policymaking, including the structure and functioning of governments and international organizations (e.g., WHO, WTO, UN).

  • Preference for knowledge of economics and ability to utilize economic background in potential modeling of public policy impact.

  • Preference for ability to utilize tools to develop infographics and presentations that can succinctly provide key policy messages.

he salary range for this position is:  if pursuing Bachelor's degree = $20/hour, if pursuing Master's degree = $25/hour, if pursuing Doctorate degree = $30/hour.
