WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

We’re looking for a Designer, Brand Creative Art Direction to join our EHQ Netherlands based EMEA marketing team.

By nature, you are multidisciplinary creative with a range of experience designing and executing across various mediums including Art Direction, Graphic Design, Typography, Digital Design, Social Media & Experience Design.

You have a passion for Design and Art Direction and proactively work to keep abreast of all new trends in visual culture. You consider yourself at the forefront of understanding the intersection between Sport, Youth and Culture and are excited to bring innovative thinking to senior members of the team.

You are constantly exploring and expanding the creative network around you, discovering new talent in a range of disciplines. You are excited about new technology and communication methods and actively work to understand this everchanging landscape. You have an affinity for a broad range of creative industries including photography, image/film making, fashion, style and streetwear.

You are confident and eager to learn when it comes to all aspects of the creative process and seeing a campaign through, from ideation to execution, presentation and production. You aren’t afraid of working within new areas, pushing your thinking to deliver innovative creative.

You are a natural collaborator with proven experience working in teams and communicating clearly and concisely to those around you and executing design across various platforms. You don’t shy away from working in complex working environments with shifting project priorities and check-ins with various stakeholders.

You have a strong creative portfolio, with a foundation of hard skills in design software, yet you are able to put forward ideas and creative thinking to push work to visionary places. You enjoy crafting the detail all the way to delivery and proactively look to build on these skills.

You approach design projects in a proactive way, seeking information, feedback, advice and have an instinctive approach to problem solving.


WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

  • 3-5 years of work experience (internship, part-time, full-time) in art direction and design within an agency or brand with a strong focus on sport, sport lifestyle, fashion and culture.

  • A strong portfolio of outstanding work, with a sharp focus on ideation and visual storytelling through design and art direction.

  • Experience working on complex project work streams, collaborating with internal and external partners from the concept phase to execution.

  • Extensive knowledge of design processes and software with proven proficiency in Adobe Creative, Figma, Keynote and related design software.

  • Proven experience in effectively developing, crafting, and implementing creative concepts to share with internal audiences through presentations.

  • Exposure to, and in-depth understanding of EMEA youth culture and behavior.

  • Highly developed understanding of consumer engagement towards creative content, digital products, social platforms, physical executions, environments and experiences.

  • Passionate about Sports, the Sports Lifestyle, and the Culture around it.

  • Ability to travel 10-15%.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Working within a team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Nike’s brand expression to a high standard by ideating, executing and delivering creative across all of our channels, both physical and digital. You will work with the team around you to translate briefs and marketing plans into creative concepts that are clearly articulated in presentations with mood boards, prototypes, design thinking and comps.

You will support workstreams by developing and crafting creative concepts for both product launches and marketing campaigns across EMEA, either originating work in the geo or executing global campaign extensions.

Within a team you’ll work to provide and deliver innovative design and art direction thinking, whilst also collaborating with external partners to deliver well-crafted executions.

You will proactively work to learn new skills and stay abreast of technical and digital design developments and successfully apply these to work practices. You’ll share insights and knowledge with the wider Nike design community and work with them to ensure continuity across our initiatives, categories and projects.

As our team is constantly evolving, you will work to leverage and develop best design processes and best practices in order to ensure all work is delivered to a high standard of creativity and craft on time.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH? 

You will work reporting to the Running, Creative Director, within a team of creatives/designers, producers and writers/strategists within the EMEA Brand Creative studio. Internally you’ll work in conjunction with Brand Creative counterparts in WHQ. Within EMEA marketing, you’ll partner closely with Brand, Partner, Energy, and Athlete Marketing teams within the Sports & Lifestyle/Sportswear categories.

You’ll also commission and work closely with external collaborators such as creative and strategic agencies, photographers, designers, stylists, directors or creatives spanning unique disciplines.
