Job description

You’ve been in the digital advertising world long enough to know that most agencies either overcomplicate things or don’t dig deep enough. You believe great marketing is built on strategy, testing, and data—but also know that creativity is what connects humans. You love crafting campaigns that actually work and aren’t afraid to get into the weeds to optimize every detail.

You’re not just a strategist; you’re a doer. You know that leadership means rolling up your sleeves and getting into the accounts every day. You have a vision for how a paid media department should be run, and you’re excited to help build it—while also launching, optimizing, and scaling ads across multiple platforms.

If this sounds like you, let’s talk.

About Us

HustleFish is a team of misfits who got bored of their corporate jobs and were ready to build something different. We’re designers, developers, and marketing pros who have honed our craft. No micro-managing. No bureaucracy. Just a group of experts who take ownership of their work, prioritize people over profit, and believe that marketing should actually help businesses grow.

We believe AI is a tool, not a replacement for human creativity. We believe clients are partners, not the enemy. And we believe in work-life balance—because no one does their best work when they’re burned out.

Your Role

As our Paid Media & Digital Strategy Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading our paid media efforts across Google, Meta, and other digital ad platforms. You’ll work closely with account executives, clients, and the creative team to ensure ads don’t just look good—they perform.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Own and execute paid media campaigns. From strategy to launch to optimization, you’re in the accounts every day making things better.
  • Develop data-driven ad strategies. Craft clear, synced strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable results.
  • Lead and innovate. Bring fresh ideas to scale our paid media department while also handling day-to-day campaign management.
  • Work closely with AEs and clients. Assist in client meetings, provide insights, and make sure strategies align with their needs.
  • Ensure proper conversion tracking. You know that tracking is everything, and you make sure it’s set up and working properly.
  • Collaborate with the creative team. Ads don’t work without the right visuals and messaging. You’ll ensure creative assets align with the strategy.
  • Leverage AI responsibly. You see AI as a tool to enhance efficiency but know that human insight is what truly makes campaigns great.
  • Create and send monthly reports. Provide clear insights that show what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns on Google and Meta.
  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking and analytics (Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, GA4, etc.).
  • Experience working directly with clients and AEs to shape and refine strategies.
  • A balance of big-picture thinking and hands-on execution—you can build strategy but also get in the trenches to make things happen.
  • A process-driven mindset—you believe marketing is more science than art, but you also recognize that the art is what makes it human.
  • A collaborative and client-first approach—you see clients as partners, not obstacles.
  • A desire to build something—you’re not just looking for a job, you want to help shape and grow a department.

Benefits

  • Remote Work From Home
  • Paid Time Off (20 Days PTO + Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity
  • Yearly Bonus and Raises
  • Salary $75,000 - $80,000
