Job Summary:  
The Marketing Data Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of high-quality data into our demand generation engine. This person will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, segmenting, and integrating data (companies, contacts, intent signals) into various marketing and sales platforms, including Outreach, Marketo, Salesforce, and other tools. 
 
This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency (deduping, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data grouping), and the ability to manage large datasets. Knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus. 
 
The Marketing Data Operations Specialist will work closely with the Demand Generation team to define targeting criteria and will own the data cohorting and hygiene to ensure accurate, effective outreach. They will also be responsible for managing communication frequency to prevent over-messaging and ensuring clean audience segmentation across all marketing campaigns. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
Data Collection & Management: 
  • Pull and process relevant account and contact data from multiple sources (intent data, lead lists, internal CRM).
  • Clean, normalize, and segment data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain data integrity and prevent duplication across platforms. 
Campaign Execution Support: 
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation to align data pulls with campaign goals.
  • Ensure proper account and persona targeting for each campaign.
  • Monitor audience segmentation to avoid over-messaging. 
Platform Integration & Workflow Management: 
  • Upload and sync data across Marketo, Outreach, Salesforce, and other tools.
  • Build and refine audience lists and suppression lists to optimize marketing and sales workflows.
  • Ensure proper routing of leads and data alignment between Marketing, SDRs, AEs, and AMs. 
Performance Analysis & Optimization: 
  • Track data trends and engagement insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Identify and resolve data gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 
What We're Looking For: 
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing operations, demand generation, or a related role.
  • Strong Excel skills (deduping, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data segmentation).
  • Experience with Outreach, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to cohort and segment data for optimized marketing campaigns.
  • Detail-oriented with strong data hygiene and organization skills.
  • Bonus: SQL or Python experience for data manipulation and automation. 

Compensation 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $70,600 - $106,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of $5,000. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
