Scopely is looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to join our industry leading game, WWE: Champions team on a remote U.S. basis

What You Will Do

The ideal candidate has experience with complex game systems in RPGs and understands how to create a streamlined and simple user experience with player motivations in mind. Additionally, the candidate will be an avid player of RPG’s, strategy, match 3, and action games across multiple platforms. Reporting to the Design Director, the Lead UI/UX Designer will closely collaborate with our product, art, and engineering groups to design and build wireframes, flows, style guides, and navigation models to help drive the UI/UX vision of the game. You will be expected to:

  • Create wireframes and flows for new and existing features
  • Collaborate with internal designers and product managers to develop UX designs
  • Iterate on designs to ensure high quality work
  • Help define final functionality of features to improve development efficiency
  • Lead UI and UX initiatives to drive WWE Champions into an new Era
  • Be responsible for the creation of a UI Style Guide and UX navigation models
  • Create processes to optimize communication and development between internal and external team members
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with the internal team and external developers
  • Be the owner for the execution of the UI/UX and be proactive in reviewing, compiling feedback, and communicating updates internally and giving direction to external developers
  • Establish best practices and pipelines
  • Give clear actionable feedback on designs
  • Become a WWE Champions expert, leveraging your own experience and community feedback

What We're Looking For:

  • Expert understanding of UI/UX and the market
  • The ability to understand player motivations ranging from new players to advanced
  • Understanding of the market and competitive landscape to be able to reference and quickly understand opportunities and improvements
  • Ability to strategically use data or usability tests to improve designs
  • Ability to work well with external developers in different time zones
  • Ability to create a vision for the look and feel of the game
  • A leader who can rally an art team towards a common goal while delegating tasks effectively
  • Positive and collaborative, with an ability to receive and provide objective, useful feedback
  • Understanding of what drives player behaviors in an RPG
  • You’re someone who is self-motivated, who thrives in an agile environment
  • You have deep passion for creating polished and easy to use interfaces

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $145,000 - $220,000, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
