The company is a financial strategy consultancy focused on serving startup, emerging, and growth phase companies, the entrepreneur and the people and firms that invest in them. The firm’s principal is an expert tax strategist.
The Company has been engaged by a California-based client with ambitious growth plans requiring great financial management and strategy and strategic tax guidance.
As we expand our financial management services, we are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting the financial reporting process
JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with tax filings. This role requires someone with a strong grasp of bookkeeping principles and proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive, highly organized, and has an eye for detail. You will work closely with the financial analyst to maintain accurate financial records and support the financial management needs of various entities.
Responsibilities
Manage Daily Transactions.
Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Perform Monthly Reconciliations.
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and manage accounts receivable/payable.
Prepare Monthly Financial Reports.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Process Documentation.
Help document and improve bookkeeping processes for better efficiency.
General Support.
Assist in financial forecasting, documenting, and other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of bookkeeping experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience with financial reporting
Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and tax filings
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team
Experience in process improvement and automation is a plus
Ability to overlap with U.S. hours — on occasion but not often. (Quality of life for the candidate is very important to me. Overlap time will be kept to a minimum.)
