Job Purpose
Commercial lead and client representation to acquire new and develop existing clients. Identify key personnel within client organization to establish close business relationships with key regional companies. Responsible for generating business for Cencora's eTMF solution - PhlexTMF.

The Business Development Manager will also support the overall growth of the Cencora's Global Consulting Services business unit and the local region by interacting with and engaging the relevant technical experts as necessary. Identification and management of potential opportunities. Analysis of opportunities and cross-selling potential.

Key Activities

  • Lead efforts to acquire new business
  • Ensure a good customer relationship with our existing customers. Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel within client organization, and develop strong business relationships with them. Gain understanding of clients' business challenges and goals
  • Develop sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts within designated region
  • Consulting and problem solving to enhance the company’s position in existing and target clients
  • Develop and conduct sales presentations. Prepare quotations, proposals, and customer correspondence together with subject matter experts
  • Follow up with new accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and fulfilment of the job. Consult to enhance the company’s position in existing and target clients
  • Liaise with regional management and the heads of the different business units to pursue business opportunities
  • Prepare and conduct key account reviews with large clients on an annual basis at least
  • Responsibility for maintaining accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information within standard reporting tools of the company.

Required Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or management (or equivalent qualification in science related field) preferred
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in business-to-business sales, preferably key account management
  • Experience in the life science industry from a supplier’s perspective or alternative from within a healthcare company
  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements within the healthcare market would be a plus
  • Confident in Microsoft Office; Salesforce is a plus
  • Can demonstrate experience in “cold calling potential leads”
  • Team player with the ability to influence others to achieve targets.
  • Communicative, conscientious, accurate and responsible personality
  • Demonstrate a highly independent working style
  • Ability to travel within selected territory/region and/or globally if required
  • Fluent in regional language and business English
