Job description

Company Overview:

Blink Health is the fastest growing healthcare technology company that builds products to make prescriptions accessible and affordable to everybody.  Our two primary products – BlinkRx and Quick Save – remove traditional roadblocks within the current prescription supply chain, resulting in better access to critical medications and improved health outcomes for patients.

BlinkRx is the world’s first pharma-to-patient cloud that offers a digital concierge service for patients who are prescribed branded medications. Patients benefit from transparent low prices, free home delivery, and world-class support on this first-of-its-kind centralized platform. With BlinkRx, never again will a patient show up at the pharmacy only to discover that they can’t afford their medication, their doctor needs to fill out a form for them, or the pharmacy doesn’t have the medication in stock.

We are a highly collaborative team of builders and operators who invent new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. Join us!

Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering who will play a critical role in shaping and leading our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. This position is ideal for an experienced DevOps engineer who has transitioned into a leadership role but remains hands-on in technology. The Senior Manager will guide a team of engineers while driving automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Platform Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and remain involved in the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automation pipelines to enhance deployment, monitoring, and security across cloud environments.
  • Take ownership of key projects, driving them from inception to successful completion.
  • Partner with engineering teams to optimize platform performance, security, and scalability.
  • Improve observability and system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and automation.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and container orchestration.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, provide technical mentorship, and ensure code quality across the platform team.
  • Advocate for operational excellence, identifying inefficiencies and eliminating manual toil through automation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with security, engineering, and product teams to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure system resilience and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • 5+ years in a leadership or managerial position.
  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring engineers, while remaining technically hands-on.
  • Strong expertise in Linux systems, networking, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but GCP/Azure also valued).
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Golang, or Bash, with a focus on automation and tooling.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, observability, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including identity management, secret management, and compliance.
  • Experience working in highly scalable, distributed microservices environments, including service meshes and API gateways.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to drive initiatives while balancing hands-on technical work and leadership duties.

If you are a technical leader who thrives on driving innovation, automation, and platform reliability, we’d love to hear from you!

Why Join Us:

It is rare to have a company that both deeply impacts its customers and is able to provide its services across a massive population.  At Blink, we have a huge impact on people when they are most vulnerable: at the intersection of their healthcare and finances. We are also the fastest growing healthcare company in the country and are driving that impact across millions of new patients every year.  Our business model not only helps people, but drives economics that allow us to build a generational company. We are a relentlessly learning, constantly curious, and aggressively collaborative cross-functional team dedicated to inventing new ways to improve the lives of our customers.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity of all kinds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
