Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to lead one or more business transformation projects to continue the profitable growth of the Rentokil North America business.  This individual will manage projects through all stages from Charter creation to Closure.

Key Performance Indicators 

The objective of this role is to successfully deliver projects to quality, balancing the following three constraints:

  • Schedule

  • Scope

  • Budget

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  •  Develop and maintain documentation, as defined by the EPMO, to manage and report on project progress.  Documentation includes (list not exhaustive):

    • Approved Business Case

    • Approved Business Case Addendums

    • Properly formed Project Schedule with baseline

    • Stage Gate completion

    • Standardized Project Status Reports (PSR)

    • Risk log

    • Project Budget, Actuals, & Forecast

    • Lessons Learned

    • Project Closure

    • Other Project documentation to facilitate the successful delivery of projects

  • Utilize project management software for project schedule management

  • Utilize project status reporting software

  • Build and maintain relationships across lines of business, functions, and reporting structures, influencing without direct authority

  • Manage expectations and communicate with diverse stakeholders at all levels

  • Create, lead, and facilitate necessary project meetings (list not exhaustive):

    • Monthly Functional Steering Committees

    • Go / NoGo

    • Weekly / Daily Project “Standup”

    • Schedule Creation / WBS 

    • Ad hoc meetings to facilitate the successful delivery of the project(s)

    • Attend governance and functional meetings related to projects (list not exhaustive):

      • Program Status Meetings

      • Stage Gate

      • Enterprise Change Control Board

      • Change Acceptance Board

      • North American Investment Committee

      • Global Investment Committee

      • Ad hoc meetings

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years experience with project management and scheduling software

  • Experience using critical path methodology to deliver complex and high cost projects utilizing a project schedule baseline

  • Experience using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to derive project schedules focused on deliverables

  • Experience interacting and presenting to an executive audience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

  • Experience utilizing earned value management to properly integrate project costs and schedule (preferred)

  • Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) (preferred)

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • PMP Certification from Project Management Institute (or agreement to obtain within 6 months of employment start)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Project Management or related subject (preferred)

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to collaborate with others under time sensitive conditions. 

  • Excellent organizational skills 

  • Ability to relay information professionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to live and operate within our values of service, relationships and teamwork

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
