University Information Systems (UIS) provides technical services, including for enterprise applications, to the University of Colorado campuses and the Office of the President. UIS is committed to excellence in customer service and technical expertise. Through the development of enterprise applications, UIS supports the University with systems used by students, faculty, human resources employees, finance employees, and others.
Position Summary:
UIS is responsible to manage & support Oracle PeopleSoft ERP Applications such as Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management, Financials & Enterprise Portal. This position exists to support these Enterprise applications as well as technical systems, process improvements and guiding future decisions on these enterprise level services provided to the University of Colorado, across all campuses.
This position designs/builds/maintains PeopleSoft environments, supports system rollouts, responds to, and troubleshoots escalated operational issues while managing internal and external customer relationships, informs/advises project managers and stakeholders about project plans and implementation, conducts technical analysis, produces technical subject matter expert and strategy recommendations, and helps to educate and develop other enterprise application administrators.
This position is charged with not only supporting daily operations of specific enterprise application applications but must also work with the team to automate processes and procedures, creating efficiencies and providing quality business services to our clients and customers.
Additionally, the position guides technical strategy for supported systems; mentors and supports peers; manages technical initiatives and projects; supports application upgrades and maintenance. This position works closely with assistant directors of the designates functional areas on a regular basis, in addition follows and improves an established Dev Ops practices followed in enterprise administration area.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Executes IT operational objectives by maintaining current systems; evaluating, recommending, testing, and installing new technology; contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production changes, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements for the Enterprise application systems.
- Establishes system specifications by conferring with customers and team members; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing Enterprise application systems.
- Articulate technology currency and upgrades for PeopleSoft systems, conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
- Provides subject matter expertise for the individuals within the Enterprise application Administrators team.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Keeps up to date with technology by participating in educational opportunities, Training; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Will work with principal business units to assess new project impacts.
- Supports technically complex production and non-production environments resolves daily issues, maintaining documentation, configuring, patching, scripting, monitoring, data security, and all aspects of system health.
- Maintain and improve Dev ops processes for creating efficient and best practices for internal and external customers.
- Manage projects, large Initiative work requests and planning, represent administration team in design, planning and troubleshooting discussions.
- Guide technical strategy for supported systems and modules to improve operation, support, and maintenance.
- Mentor peers and share knowledge, cross train others.
- Provide end user support and manage technical documentation for supported products.
- Acts as a Subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Ensures high-availability and stability of technical environments.
- Participates in an On-Call rotation and occasional off-hours work efforts.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

You must meet all minimum requirements listed at the time of application to be considered for this role. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field of study from an accredited US or foreign institution. (Foreign degrees professionally evaluated in US as equivalent to a US bachelor’s degree are acceptable regardless of the duration of the degree program.)
- 4 years of experience as a PeopleSoft Administrator which must include performing the tasks listed below on PeopleTools version in technically complex and redundant environments:
- o Installing PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Applications;
- o Administering PeopleSoft applications on Linux operating systems;
- o Upgrading PeopleTools and applying application patches through PeopleSoft Update Manager;
- o Using Application Designer, Data Mover, and Change Assistant;
- o Installing PeopleSoft Applications using Oracle Deployment Package;
- o Administering WebLogic and Tuxedo middleware required to run Peoplesoft; and
- o Monitoring and troubleshooting all layers involved in PeopleSoft application architecture.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including part of a rotational on-call status (approximately once a month availability for a week and at least one weekend a month).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following:
- Knowledge of information technology service management (ITSM) principles and best practices
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware, including native WebLogic and Tuxedo
