Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking a highly analytical Finance Business System Analyst to bridge the gap between finance and technology by optimizing financial systems, automating processes, and providing data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance, accounting, and IT teams to:

  • Act as an internal consultant within the business, helping to facilitate and supporting Deltek/ADP/Workday Adaptive Planning functionalities for process improvement.
  • Contain and understanding of interfaces among systems and proactively addresses continuous improvement requests and drives them to completion.
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently gather business requirements, design functional solutions and implement solutions.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise, resolve software application issues, and drive automation initiatives for process optimization.
  • Work directly with users and leaders to determine the appropriate system configuration and setup depending on the business need. This will include creating and delivering on training materials, procedures, and work instructions to group users.
  • Creates and updates documentation (e.g., requirements analysis; use cases; user stories; and level of effort/resource estimates) for existing and new complex computer systems.
  • Analyzes detailed system factors; including input/output requirements; information flow; hardware/software requirements; and reliability characteristics.
  • Create complex test case scenarios to be used in functional testing, regression testing; conduct/monitor/oversee/document the testing of business applications to verify that all client requirements are incorporated into the system design
  • Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure smooth system operations.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to finance users on system functionalities and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience with analyzing business requirements and developing business requirements
  • Experience working with financial integrations, APIs, and automation tools

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience with at least one enterprise software implementation project within the past three years
  • Demonstrated ability of adapting and implementing changing technology
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving experience (requirements analysis, documentation, user stories), ability to gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience and comfortable to work independently
  • Demonstrated experience with Deltek Costpoint, the ADP suite of tools, SAP’s Workday Adaptive, Teams, Zoom, The Microsoft suite of tools is preferred

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred
