About the Investor Network Team

The Investor Network team works with more than 200 institutional investors (managing more than $44 trillion in assets) to advance sustainable investment practices, engage with corporate leaders, and advocate for key policy and regulatory solutions to accelerate the transition to a more just and equitable world. We work both domestically in the U.S. and on global collaborations including Climate Action 100+, The Investor Agenda, the Paris Aligned Investment Initiative, and the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative.


About the Role

The Associate, Investor Network will work closely with the Senior Director, Investor Network to support recruitment of new investors into the Network, build systems to track and monitor progress of the investor network, and support the team’s relationship managers for effective retention management of Network members. This role is part of the Investor Network and routinely interacts with the Organizational Strategy, Planning, and Results (OSPR) team. The relationship between these two teams is critical to measuring internal progress against goals and to inform funders about the status of deliverables their grants support.


This Associate will report to the Senior Director, Investor Network. This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely or from the office in Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be flexible to work with employees in all US time zones.


Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as core support to Ceres’ Investor Network to prospect, recruit, onboard, and retain members including tracking incoming inquiries, screening and onboarding prospects, and preparing for external meetings.
  • Serve as core support to the Investor Network relationship management team including supporting the monthly meetings by preparing the agenda in coordination with Director and Senior Director, Investor Network and follow up with action items, and taking minutes.
  • Track Ceres’ Investor Network members’ engagement with other teams within Ceres to achieve their goals (e.g., how many investors we engage on a specific initiative).
  • Report quarterly to the Organizational Strategy, Planning, and Results team, with input from Investor Network team members, concerning progress toward team goals.
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues within the Investor Network and across Ceres programmatic teams to support synergies to advance Investor Network and other program team priorities.
  • Support internal team by preparing meeting agendas, taking and synthesize meeting minutes, and creating clear and compelling presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Support progress reports and presentations for Investor Network, funders, public investor presentations and the Ceres Board.
  • Maintain and regularly update all datasets and Salesforce tracking systems for existing and new network members.
  • Produce reports and presentations for Investor team and Ceres leadership on network development including dues, levels of engagement with, types of investors and other relevant investor demographics.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years full-time related work experience required.
  • Experience in financial services or asset management industry required, specific understanding of capital markets, different asset classes, and investor expectations highly preferred.
  • Experience working with and analyzing large data sets.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with word-processing, presentation, database, and e-mail computer applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, sensitivity to diverse constituencies, and strong initiative and motivation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Successful record of working on multiple projects and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Interest and willingness to be trained on specific applications necessary for work: (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomberg Terminal).

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring salary is $50,600 – $56,999 with competitive benefits (Pay Grade 12).
