Job description

Overview:

The Trade Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic trade marketing initiatives aimed at maximizing brand visibility across all retail channels. This position requires close collaboration with sales teams, distributors, and retail partners to bolster market presence and ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and the retail landscape. Furthermore, the manager will oversee vendor and partner programs to enhance brand reach and impact within the trade.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive trade marketing campaigns and materials designed to meet business objectives and boost brand presence within retail environments, encompassing digital and physical storefront merchandising, digital advertising, event-based initiatives, and more.
• Drive trade marketing campaigns through all phases, including concept development, kickoff, project oversight, resource procurement, deployment, and result reporting.
• Organize and manage trade events, shows, and product launches to elevate product exposure and to foster engagement with customers and partners.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and sales teams to facilitate seamless execution of trade marketing strategies.
• Manage vendor and partner programs to expand the brand's reach and influence through collaborative trade efforts.
• Develop comprehensive sales tools and training resources to enable trade partners and internal teams.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives using KPIs and metrics to assess success and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct market analysis to identify key trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activities, providing actionable insights to optimize trade marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure seamless integration and synergy between marketing assets and campaigns, enhancing overall effectiveness and brand consistency across channels.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required; an equivalent combination of education, skills and professional experience will be considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience with digital marketing and/or trade marketing campaigns.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in campaign execution and a strong understanding of brand visibility at the point of sale.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, marketing automation tools, email marketing.
  • Transformation skills to create reporting from analytical data.
  • Exemplary communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with intertwining deadlines while staying focused on the details.
  • Analytical: Intellectual curiosity, must enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues and solve problems.
  • Strong business acumen: Ability to grasp understanding of business models and key drivers quickly, ability to develop hypotheses and identify data and analyses needed to prove or disprove hypotheses.
  • Strong work ethic: Real self-starter, able to demonstrate strong proactive approach and self-initiative, persistent, and tenacious with a can-do attitude.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage projects, work independently and effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Focused on results: Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Confidence to interact with internal managers and executives as well as external vendors. Must be comfortable creating and making presentations to senior management.
  • Strong systems skills: Proficiency utilizing MS Office products.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, preferred.
  • Prior experience working with WordPress and Salesforce Pardot, a plus.
