Job Title: Dental Billing Specialist
Location: Remote (CST Time Zone)
Salary Range: up to 2000 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays), 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST)

Position Overview:

The Dental Billing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, claims processing, and payment collections. This position requires familiarity with dental software and an eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage dental billing processes, including insurance claims submission and follow-ups.
• Accurately input and validate patient data into the billing system (preferably Open Dental or similar software).
• Resolve billing discrepancies, rejections, and delays by liaising with insurance providers.
• Ensure proper coding and compliance with dental billing standards.
• Communicate with patients to clarify billing inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Maintain organized records of claims, payments, and adjustments.
• Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance billing efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in any dental billing software (Open Dental preferred).
• Previous experience in dental billing or related roles is ideal.
• Open Dental experience for at least 3 years
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Critical thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly.
• Organized and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in billing processes.
• Ability to work independently and learn new tools or software quickly.

Nice to Haves:

• Prior experience in a dental practice setting.
• Familiarity with insurance claims and coding.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to bring new ideas and streamline processes.
