The Residential Solar Operations Manager role will oversee the installation and development of solar energy systems for residential customers. The role will require a deep understanding of solar technologies, project management skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently. This role involves managing all phases of solar projects from initial consultation to final installation, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality execution of residential solar systems.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of residential solar installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with customers, installers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
  • Track project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and proactively resolve them to minimize disruptions.
  • Manage project software platforms and work on improving processes and workflows.
  • Customer Relations:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the project, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide project updates, respond to inquiries, and address any concerns to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Explain solar energy systems, the installation process, and maintenance requirements to customers clearly.
  • Coordination: 
  • Manage and coordinate with installers, subcontractors, and internal sales reps other professionals involved in the project.
  • Ensure that the project team adheres to timelines, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure that all solar installations meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Complete and submit necessary permits, inspection documentation, and interconnection agreements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of project details, changes, and progress.
  • Post-Installation Support:
  • Oversee post-installation inspections and commissioning of solar systems.
  • Address any issues or concerns after project completion, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper system operation.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up for system performance and maintenance.

  • Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential solar energy systems or renewable energy project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar technology, installation processes, and industry standards.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience with solar design software and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to solar energy systems.
  • Compensation: $60k-$75k
