K2 Claims Services, LLC (K2 Claims) is seeking Property Claims Examiner to join its Claims Team. This position will be primarily remote with occasional meetings/trainings in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The preferred candidate will have 5+ years of adjusting homeowner claims from an in-house adjusting role. The candidate should be a self-starter and motivated to help build a world-class TPA.

K2 Claims is a third-party administrator who handles claims nationwide for various insurance carriers. The Claims Team specializes in claims handling meeting the unique needs of the insurance market.

The Property Claims Examiner will adjudicate claims from initial intake to final settlement. 

Activities include and not limited to:

• Handling claims pursuant to state specific insurance regulations along with K2 Claims’ Best Practices.

• Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
• Respond to calls, emails and requests from agents.
• Work closely with partners to correctly and efficiently complete coverage evaluations to efficiently resolve claims.
• Review and negotiate emergency service estimates with vendors.
• Evaluating and considering all subrogation/salvage opportunities.
• Utilizing available tools to resolve claims in the most efficient manner possible.

 Ideally, the Property Claims Examiner will have:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or insurance-related major.
• Exhibit general property and construction knowledge.
• Exceptional customer service focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Flexibility for occasional business travel.
• Strong time management skills as this job will be based at home with minimal supervision.
• Carrier Background preferred.

 Pay Range: 70,000-85,000 USD per year
