 Senior Builder Finance Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer Assistant

 

United Community is seeking a highly skilled Senior Builder Finance Loan Administrator. This role is responsible for servicing a Builder Finance real estate loan portfolio consisting of approximately 1,000 loans with commitments ranging from $250MM to $325MM. The Senior Loan Administrator handles complex loan requests, including Acquisition and Development loans, and ensures compliance with loan policies and approvals. Responsibilities include funding initial loan disbursements, coordinating construction and A&D draw inspections, processing payments, loan renewals, and exceptions. The role also involves quoting and posting loan payoffs, preparing and processing collateral release documentation, and maintaining portfolio management documentation to meet audit requirements. Additionally, the Senior Loan Administrator trains new employees, monitors their performance, and serves as the go-to resource for other Loan Administrators.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support and customer service to Builder Finance loan officers and customers.
  • Loan Portfolio Management: Support a loan portfolio averaging $250MM-$325MM in commitments.
  • Loan Processing: Handle complex loan requests, including Acquisition and Development loans. Review and ensure loan documentation compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Loan Closings: Fund initial disbursements for new loan closings, create necessary tickets and/or TMS entries, and send to LOC for booking.
  • Inspections and Draw Requests: Coordinate inspections and process disbursements for construction and A&D loan draw requests.
  • Payments and Payoffs: Process incoming payments, quote and process partial releases of collateral and payoffs, and prepare and process quitclaim deeds when applicable.
  • Reporting: Generate and review daily reports, maintain Interest Reserve reporting, and prepare monthly reports.
  • Training and Monitoring: Train new employees, monitor their performance, and ensure adherence to bank and department policies.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain collateral release files, and review and approve collateral releases prepared by other team members.
  • Backup Support: Serve as backup for Builder Finance Commercial Real Estate LOA.

 

Requirements for Success:

  • Minimum of ten years of loan operations or Builder Finance experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of real estate loan documentation, loan accounting, operations, and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to prioritize multiple duties, flexible to changing priorities, performs well under pressure, and works within deadlines.
  • Must be able to work cohesively with others within the department and other areas of the bank.
  • Participate and complete all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences.
