Summary:

Reporting to the IT Manager Ecommerce, the Frontend React Developer will be responsible for developing and supporting eCommerce capabilities on multiple brand websites. As part of a dynamic team with growing demand, this role will be responsible for requirement gathering, developing & testing website related enhancements, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, and remediating issues within the application. This includes support for end-to-end application testing, understanding of integrations to upstream/downstream systems, and adhering to code management activities within an agile framework.  This role will work with on/offshore dev team members in supporting and delivering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work autonomously and proactively with minimal supervision to deliver production-ready code.
• Serve as a contributor and member to project teams in the ecommerce applications area.
• Ensure you adhere to coding standards, appropriate design patterns, developing test cases, and project management procedures.
• Participate in formal and informal code review and assist team members and work with the QA team to facilitate quality assurance efforts.
• Perform analysis and design for programs and learn and adapt to new applications, languages, and techniques.
• Complete administration tasks, such as status reporting, flow charts for technical analysis and documentation.
• Integrate 3rd party APIs and a strong understanding of REST and other API patterns.
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5-10+ years hands-on experience in developing with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with React or other JS based technologies.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience working on NodeJS, ReactJS, NextJS, Bootstrap, Typescript.
• Experience with state management like Redux, React-Context, Recoil, or similar library.
• Knowledge of JavaScript ES6 features such as classes, arrow functions, string templates, rest/spread operators, promises, async/await.
• Familiarity with building responsive layouts using CSS and its compiler workflows (e.g.,LESS, SASS/SCSS, styled components).
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, Object Oriented Design and Data Structures.
• Experience building, optimizing, and maintaining websites with high traffic and performance demands.
• Knowledge of SVN/GIT/Bitbucket for source code management and Atlassian tools Jira and Confluence is preferred.

• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack, Grunt and Gulp.js is preferred.
• Good understanding of asynchronous, closure, event-driven programming is preferred.
• Experience translating design mockups and prototypes into working application design is preferred.
• Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Great verbal and written communication skills and ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a retail eCommerce environment would be an asset.
