High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of experience in an administrative role or
Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, human resources or related field plus three (3) years of experience in an administrative role required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Valid Arkansas driver's license.
Reliable transportation with valid and current liability insurance and willingness to use for work travel (including transporting employees/clients/candidates).
Preferred Qualifications:
Executive assistant experience.
Working knowledge of WordPress and project management systems.
Experience in Social Media.

Responsibilities:
Provides direction and prioritization standards for the Associate Provost’s and Faculty Center Director’s mail and appointments.
Uses expert judgment and knowledge, anticipate their needs and proactively bring together appropriate people and other resources to support them in addressing issues.
Maintains calendars and schedules, and coordinates activities.
Responsible for travel arrangements and itineraries for the Associate Provost and Director.
Prepares agendas, executive summaries and other appropriate needs for meetings and presentations.
Develops presentations independently for the Associate Provost to deliver (conduct research, develop content, and create effective presentation).
Handles confidential information which would have immediate negative impact on the campus operations, performance, or value if shared beyond its intended audience.
Completes the following business reporting functions: variance reports, financial attestation, and payroll certification, as well as the following business operations to support the center.
Maintains supply inventory in the office, work with UAMS Inventory Control to monitor office equipment in compliance with UAMS policy, order supplies as necessary, and make all travel arrangements as needed.
Responsible for obtaining appropriate price quotes for all major purchases and the payment of event-related and monthly office bills. Duties will include creating deposits for monies received, maintaining the WFDC foundation accounts and processing all IDTs.
Prepares financial reports which will be used to create the office’s annual budget request to the Provost.
Works closely with the faculty development manager to ensure faculty development opportunities are advertised through multiple channels. This would include being updated on the faculty-related websites, including the Center’s website and intranet site, the COM faculty website and intranet site, and Academic Senate website.
Updates and sends the faculty newsletter; update the UAMS faculty app, faculty social media platforms and email accounts.
Aids the Center for Faculty Excellence office staff, faculty and to outside organizations as needed.
Acts as a liaison to other programs, departments, or agencies providing guidance and necessary correspondence.
Answers departmental phone, distribute departmental mail, maintain the department conference room calendar, assist visitors, and resolve problems.
Attends Center events as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
