Job description

At Linear, we are on a mission to bring magic back to software. To empower product teams to do their best work, we are building an issue tracking and project management tool that combines UI elegance with world-class performance. Founded in 2019, Linear has become the tool of choice for 10,000+ companies to plan and build their products.

Linear was set up as a fully remote company from the start. Today, our small but mighty team is distributed across North America and Europe. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and our passion for software craftsmanship. We are all makers at heart and care deeply about the quality of our work.

Linear is in a unique position—we are profitable, which gives us the flexibility to invest thoughtfully as we grow. We want to build a company that scales well—not just in our product but in how we run our financial operations. In this role, you’ll help shape how we invest and operate, driving high-level strategy and our financial operations' day-to-day management to support our growth.

Please note: We are an equal opportunity employer and remote-only company. At this time, we can only support hiring within the US for this role.

  • SaaS business model forecasting

  • Comfortable oscillating between the details and the larger concepts

  • Ability to handle uncertainty, adjust priorities, and make decisions with good judgment and common sense

  • Execute and find ways to scale our finance operations (payroll, taxes, registration, etc.)

  • Help the business make data-informed decisions through analysis and discussion

  • Build our planning muscle: headcount planning, budget, and growth goals
