About the team

The Sales Strategy, Operations, & Enablement (SSOE) team is at the epicenter of a rapidly growing business focused on acquiring new B2B customers in the Financial Services space. We are general athletes who have the strategic agility to flex into different parts of the organization to provide thought leadership and operational scale. We are seeking a talented Sales Trainer who can help us widen our reach and impact across the sales organization, enabling our sellers to provide a higher level of service. 

 

About the Job

Our Sales Trainer will be responsible for creating and presenting professional development related content to sales teams to improve their skills, knowledge, and performance as revenue professionals. This body of work will be aimed toward supporting new hires and tenured sales team members spanning new business acquisitions and current client account management. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead virtual training sessions: conduct training sessions for sales representatives, managers, and other staff members. 
  • Evaluate training effectiveness: evaluate the effectiveness of the training program by collecting feedback from participants, analyzing performance data, and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop training materials: create new or iterate on current training materials such as presentations, handouts, and videos to support the training program.
  • Develop customer facing sales enablement materials: design and curate public facing content to be used by sellers to highlight SmartAsset products, services, features. 
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and operations: work closely with sales leadership and operations to identify training needs and develop training programs that align with the company's goals and priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with sales trends and best practices: stay current with industry trends and best practices in sales training to ensure that the training program remains relevant and effective.
  • Mentor and coach sales trainers and sales employees: provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to sales representatives to help them improve their skills and performance.
  • Provide ongoing support: stay apprised of the sales teams’ training needs and provide ongoing support to sales reps, managers, and other staff members to reinforce the skills and knowledge learned during training.

 

Skills / Experiences You Have

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sales Trainer or similar role with 6 years of total work experience, bonus points if in a previous remote or quota carrying role.
  • Intermediate experience with visual communication & design tools (e.g. Google Slides, MS Publisher, Photoshop, etc).
  • Deep familiarity with most popular sales methodologies and frameworks. 
  • Certifications or credentials in Selling, Sales Methodologies, or Public Speaking.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative cross-team environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a history of building and maintaining strong relationships by involving the right people at the right time. 
  • Past quota carrying experience, a major plus. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Washington, and New York City residents - Minimum Salary of $74k to $122k  +  equity + benefits.

Salary at SmartAsset is determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the contiguous United States
