Join our Finance team as a New York-based Senior Accounting Revenue Manager and take ownership of SoundCloud’s subscription revenue processes! Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role is central to managing our Creator & Fan business revenue, ensuring accurate recognition, strong controls, and process improvements to support SoundCloud’s growth. Collaboration and clear communication are essential, as you will partner with multiple teams across the organization to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead monthly close processes for subscription revenue, including variance analysis and reporting
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS 15
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls, and accounting policies
  • Monitor transactional data and cash flows to ensure revenue completeness and accuracy
  • Act as a key partner with Payments, FP&A, Tax and Royalties teams to support revenue-related initiatives, compliance in new territories and royalty calculations.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and time-zones, documenting and communicating approaches to align stakeholders
  • Identify and implement scalable solutions to improve revenue processes and controls

Experience & Background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years in accounting or revenue management, ideally in a subscription-based or SaaS business
  • Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and/ or ASC 606 and experience in strong financial control environments
  • Familiarity with subscription billing software (Recurly preferred) and payment providers (e.g., Adyen, PayPal, Apple, Google)
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working across time zones and with distributed teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

The salary range for this role is $100,000-120,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
