This is a remote position.


Job Title: Social Security Specialist

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Philadelphia, PA Time  Includes a 1-hour unpaid break

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and handling disability cases. This role involves managing the status of claims, completing Social Security applications and forms, and submitting electronic documents to the SSA. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track the status of Social Security disability claims, ensuring timely updates and follow-ups.
  • Assist clients in completing Social Security applications and forms, ensuring all required information is provided accurately.
  • Submit electronic claims and documents to the Social Security Administration in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the SSA and other relevant parties to resolve any issues or discrepancies in claims.
  • Communicate with clients to inform them of claim statuses, next steps, and any required actions.
  • Provide general assistance and support in Social Security-related matters, offering guidance and expertise where needed.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately filed and maintained according to SSA guidelines and privacy standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with the Social Security Administration and handling disability cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of Social Security applications, forms, and the claims process.
  • Proficiency in submitting electronic claims and managing SSA documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to work effectively with clients and external agencies.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a Social Security or disability-related environment.
  • Familiarity with Social Security policies and regulations.
