Job description

Work Flexibility: Remote

What you will do:

As our Staff Instructional Designer will sustain, design and develop technical learning experiences - classroom, virtual, e-learning and on-the-job – to ensure customer success when utilizing our products. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Excellence, Clinical and Project teams to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and mentoring team members through the development of eLearning modules, instructor-led training materials, and supplemental educational resources to effectively educate our customers and internal employees on the utilization of our products.  

  • Collaboration: Lead and mentor others in stakeholder collaboration to conduct thorough training needs analyses, identifying gaps and opportunities to enhance end user and technical learning experience.

  • Instructional design: Apply the ADDIE learning model when developing learning objectives, outlines, activities and knowledge checks for educational content. Independently design engaging, eLearning content, instructor-led training materials, and other supplemental educational resources tailored for end users as well as system administrators/technical audiences.

  • Transfer of knowledge: Independently conduct transfer of knowledge (TOI) sessions with internal facilitators and stakeholders when new education materials are developed and/or existing materials have major updates.

  • Evaluation: Lead and mentor others in the development of improvement plans based on feedback received from stakeholders and customers.

  • Project management: Lead and manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.

  • Inventory: Independently keep a detailed record of all course offerings, ensuring all materials are documented, version-controlled, adhere to brand standards, and easily accessible through LMS and/or document repository tools.

  • Product: Be proficient with and mentor others in usage of Acute Care products, including end user and technical configuration & functionality.

  • Tools: Be proficient with and mentor others in usage of eLearning development tools (ex: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), video editing software (ex: Camtasia), Learning Management Systems, and Windows server or Linux operations systems. Use these tools to develop engaging, interactive learning experiences.

  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology to continuously improve training offerings.

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with relevant concentration required

  • Experience: 4+ years of direct work experience in instructional design, organization development, training and development, education or similar area, preferably within a technical or corporate environment.

  • Certification in instructional design or related field required

  • 3+ years in eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and video editing software (e.g., Camtasia). Ability to develop interactive learning experiences using these tools.

  • 2+ years of experience specific to Articulate Storyline is needed for this role.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Cisco wireless networks and equipment, Windows server and/or Linux operations systems. 

  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy).

  • Experience supporting clinical end users is a plus.

$77,200 - $160,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 20%
