Boldyn Network’s internship program provides students the opportunity to support and implement cutting-edge enterprise networks. This is a great way to not only deepen your career interests but to gain valuable work experience and have fun along the way!
Each summer we deploy and install a tremendous amount of new networking and video equipment (access points, switches, routers, etc.). This is where you come in. Alongside our implementation and project management teams, you’ll work to help us meet our schedules and deadlines.
While you'll learn a lot, this is not a desk job. Rather you'll work in our configuration room, and onsite at client properties installing network infrastructure.

Here’s your job:
We install best in class residential networks (ResNet) at colleges and universities and you’re responsible for installing, configuring, and testing our cable, access points, and switches.
Label, route, and install cat5e/cat6 cabling systems in a new and existing environment.
Perform equipment move, add, change tasks as required.
Ensure that systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with Apogee's procedures and quality control standards.
Communicate with Managers and/or Project Manager to resolve discrepancies or issues.
Provide accurate documentation of completed work.
Responsible for providing proper documentation for inventory control and for maintaining proper inventory for projects.
Attend construction meetings and perform site readiness assessments.
Communicate with customers, customer representatives, contractors, and Apogee staff as necessary to install and test equipment.
What you will learn at Boldyn Networks:
Enterprise networking equipment (Cisco, HP, Dell, Aruba)
Fiber and copper based, PON, DSLAMS, RF via coax, and QAM
Complete understanding of electrical, analog, digital, electronic, switch and routing concepts
Net+, CCENT, CCNA, CWTS
Cable TV “headend” equipment
Requirements:
Full-time, actively enrolled student during course of internship
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in an approved program [computing, informatics, engineering]
Professional, hobby or academic experience in desktop troubleshooting, PC repair, IT help desk, or robotics clubs
Ability to work 40+ hours weekly, and travel 90% of the summer
This is a seasonal role and we have had many students work with us to earn extra money during the summer:
Term: June 3 to August 15, 2025
Rate: $18/hour + Paid Expenses + Overtime
Travel: up to 90%
Some other notes about this job:
Physical requirements. You’ll use your hands to type, use power tools. You’ll stand, walk, reach with arms and hands and due to the need to review client sites, may have to step over, climb or balance around obstacles, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Our equipment can be heavy, you’ll need to lift up to 50 lbs.
Traveling and Scheduling. Our installers are on a plane, in a car, and traveling most of the time. You will need to be available for 40+ hours a week for work, and this role involves up to 100% company paid travel to client locations.
Driving and Criminal Background. We take the safety of our team and our customers very seriously. You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. You must also pass a criminal background check to work on any of our customer’s properties.
What we offer
On average interns earn between $9,000 to $11,000 each summer.
Business travel is paid for by Boldyn Networks and you get to keep your airline reward points.
You earn $50/day per diem on days that you travel to work.
