Parexel is hiring an Epidemiology Analyst to work remotely from any location in the continental US.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Epidemiology Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading statistical analysis, programming, and database management for epidemiologic projects across our business units (GenMed, Spec Care, Vaccine). This position offers an exciting opportunity to implement advanced methods, technology, and innovations in epidemiology and safety sciences, with a focus on demonstrating product safety and improving health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead statistical analysis and programming (using SAS, R, SQL, Python, etc.) for epidemiologic projects
  • Manage databases and provide documentation for programs, databases, and systems
  • Collaborate with RWD and Information System staff on database evaluation, acquisition, storage, and management
  • Implement new advanced methods, technology, and innovations in epidemiology, benefit-risk assessment, and safety sciences
  • Contribute to innovative projects using advanced AI technology
  • Stay current with new developments in programming and analytic methods
Qualifications
Education
  • Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, mathematics, computer science, or related quantitative field
  • Doctoral degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SAS programming in public health-related areas (e.g., Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or Outcome Research)
  • Experience with various operating systems, including UNIX and Windows
  • Familiarity with structured programming principles and documentation procedures
Knowledge and Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of statistical programming (especially SAS), database management, and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in data science and comfort with latest digital technologies (e.g., LLM, ML, DL, ANN, NLP)
  • Understanding and experience using US-based real-world data (claims and medical record databases)
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects under pressure with tight timelines
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R) is desirable
