Job description

About the role:

Sr. National Account Executive will be responsible for helping expand OfferUp's Southern California marketplace across both Retail Business and Auto Dealerships. As a National Account Executive at OfferUp, this AE will leverage experience selling digital 3rd Party Marketplace solutions to retail and dealership business leaders to successfully grow and scale OfferUp for Business revenue. With their broad knowledge of B2B Customer Engagement, this Sr National AE will act as a strategic partner to establish clients and sell a broad range of 3rd Party Digital Marketplace solutions that will ensure that their customer engagement and revenue goals are met.

The Sr. National AE will be based in California for this position and will be required to travel a substantial amount of time both within and outside of the state for trade shows, conferences, and client/selling visits.

Here’s more of what you will get to do:

  • 5+ years of experience to sell 3rd Party Marketplace solutions to large businesses, dealerships, and franchise groups.
  • Conduct outside sales for approximately 20% of the month, as needed, which includes visiting prospects, pitching OfferUp products in-person, and attending trade shows
  • Grow revenue base from scratch, by building relationships with Southern California brands and prospecting across multiple channels.
  • Research and prospect new customers in targeted territories as identified by the Sales team leadership.
  • Build a robust pipeline of leads to increase opportunities, as well as forecast new business closure rates and revenue booked
  • Collaborate with Product, Research, and Business Operations to ensure the learnings from the field are incorporated into the overall business direction
  • Lead, track, and report on all prospecting activity and results in our CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Visit the Bellevue office quarterly, or more as necessary, to attend in-person training activities for the Sales team regarding OfferUp Business.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience in a short sell cycle is highly preferred – the ability to one-call close experience
  • 2-4 years of Business Development, Inside Sales or Account Management experience with a tech company serving brick-and-mortar customers
  • Competitive drive, optimism and confidence
  • Demonstrated proficiency in prospecting and hunting for new clients as well as effectively managing a book of business through Salesforce.
  • Versed in the art of selling to busy, no-nonsense business owners while developing relationships for the long-term
  • Resourceful and adaptable, and can identify creative solutions that may not be “how it is done” in this space
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Some light travel may be required.

Compensation: Base Salary: $96,655 + variable bonus with an On Target Earnings of $144,655 annually.

OfferUp offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. Individual salaries within our ranges are determined through a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.  All roles will receive equity in OfferUp as part of their compensation, the amount of equity varying depending on the individual’s level and experience.

This role is eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization (commission). The commission amount will be allocated based on the OfferUp Sales Commission Plan as well as an individual’s performance, metrics, and economic performance of the company and is not a guaranteed part of an individual’s compensation.

In addition to our compensation package, this role is eligible to enroll in health insurance, healthcare savings and spending accounts, retirement savings benefits (401(k) plan with match), basic and voluntary life insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off for sick leave, family and/or medical leave, vacation, and 12 company holidays.
