Specialist Technical Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your Mission

Collect and analyze business requirements to produce functional and technical specifications to be signed-off by the customer (business stakeholder).

For this opportunity, fluent English is essential, as the professional will work with people from all over the world on a daily basis.

We are looking for people who reside in Europe, in locations that share the same time zone as the United Kingdom.

It will be necessary to have a Brazilian CNPJ or be available to issue an invoice for payment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

Activities

• Understand the business problem to define the required functionality. 

• Engage with the business stakeholders and extract the required domain knowledge. 

• Understand data policy. 

• Perform data profiling and data quality assessment. 

• Define testing criteria and standards. 

• Align and enable end-to-end progress tracking and reporting. 

• Work with Testers and Data Modellers to ensure the deliveries meet the business requirements. 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Requirements: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience working on dashboard and/or software development projects, including performing the following activities:

• Elicitation and documentation of requirements, for example, production of functional specifications containing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Assistance in System Integration Testing (SIT), including preparation of test scripts, documentation of results, raising of defects, etc.
• Facilitation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including documentation of results, raising of defects, obtaining user approval, etc.
• Experience in drafting sketches and/or prototypes of dashboards would be advantageous.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with agile project delivery, including performing the following activities:

• Management of product backlogs and sprints.
• Writing detailed user stories and raising bugs.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps boards would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical) and architectures, for example, Ralph Kimball / Bill Inmon architectures.
• Experience in development with Power BI would be advantageous, for example, knowing how to build fully functional dashboards, preferably those that integrate with Azure Analysis Services (AAS) datasets.

Experience/familiarity working with data in an Azure environment would be advantageous, for example, understanding of:

• Azure Data Lake Storage
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Databricks
• Azure SQL Data Warehouse
• Azure Analysis Services
• Experience in determining the best type of visualization (e.g., chart) to convey the required message.
• Ability with designs for visually appealing data presentation/dashboards.

Differentiator: Knowledge of ETL and ELT processes would be advantageous.
