About the role

• Our GEC Advanced Automation and Analytics team , composed of 4 people,  is integrated in the Engineering and Construction department (GEC) department and  focused on deploying end-to-end Assets performance projects aiming to improve operational costs in collaboration with the Global Business Units.

• As an Advanced Process Control Engineer, you will be responsible for leading dynamic implementation projects to design, support DCS functional & commission projects with the goal of improving and optimizing new and existing chemical manufacturing processes.

• You will be accountable for:

  • Translate business needs by leading on-site diagnostics, and focusing on Design, Implementation and on-site Commissioning of Advanced Process Control projects.

  • Provide technical support to the Group's production sites, including training site engineers in optimization techniques for Advanced Process Control topics.

  • Adopt a data-driven approach to extract actionable insights from production data, driving performance optimization and continuous improvement.

• We offer a fixed-term (3 years) contract based on remote working mode.

About you

• Relevant education degree or equivalent Master’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, Automation, Process Controls engineering or related areas.

• Relevant work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment as a Process Control Engineer with exposure to continuous and batch processes(5 to 10 years of experience)

• Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Model Predictive Control & Inferential measures implementation & Aspen DMC3 or PACE. OsiSoft PI or AspenTech IP21.

  • Knowledge of basic project management practices, and exposure to DCS application development (Experience with Emerson, Yokogawa, Hollias Macs would be beneficial).

  • Experience in leading and managing medium/small projects and process / chemical engineering in a chemical manufacturing plant.

About the pay and benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the China Shanghai base pay reasonably expected for this role is 544,800 CNY to 681000 CNY, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
