The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Associate, Production Operations to join our growing supply chain operations team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will take responsibility for executing and improving critical production and procurement processes. In this role, you’ll coordinate vendor partnerships, streamline operational efficiencies, and take on projects that enhance Caraway’s supply chain capabilities. Who You Are:
You’re a highly organized, detail-oriented operations professional with experience in production and procurement, preferably in consumer goods. You are adept at managing cross-functional workflows, navigating complexities, and executing tasks that drive measurable results. Your strong communication skills enable you to work collaboratively with key team members within the organization and externally with vendors. You're comfortable with, and excited by, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You bring a healthy mix of tactical thinking and hands-on execution to everything you do and thrive in solving complex problems.
Responsibilities:
Production & Procurement Management
- Draft, issue, and manage purchase orders with vendors, ensuring all details are accurate and timelines are met.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate directly with global suppliers to track progress and resolve delays.
- Oversee product sampling logistics, from factory coordination to quality reviews.
Inventory & Data Oversight
- Maintain and update SKU, inventory, and vendor information in ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy.
- Support inventory planning by optimizing production capacity and coordinating closely with planning teams and vendors.
Vendor & Quality Coordination
- Communicate with vendors to ensure alignment on production timelines, compliance standards, and quality expectations.
- Schedule and oversee third-party quality inspections, addressing any issues that arise and driving corrective actions.
Operational Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose actionable solutions for vendor management, order tracking, or capacity planning.
- Create and maintain SOPs for critical workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 4+ years of experience in production, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably in consumer goods.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume purchase orders and oversee inventory across multiple channels.
- Experience with ERPs and tools like Fulfil.io, Anvyl, or Flexport.
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience managing and executing production operations with vendors in Southeast Asia
- Flexibility to work across time zones to align with global operations.
- Bachelors in Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management or similar field preferred
- Ability to speak Mandarin a plus
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
