Job description

The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is a leading research and advocacy organization on a mission to reduce societal-scale risks from AI. We tackle the toughest AI issues with a mix of technical, societal, and policy solutions, working with our sister organization, the CAIS Action Fund.

As part of our mission, we are building a network of skilled contributing writers to support our growing content needs. We are looking for both technical writers and journalists/general writers who can help communicate AI safety research, policy developments, and industry trends to a broad audience.

Technical Writing Opportunities:

Authoring research papers on AI safety

Writing and curating the ML Safety Newsletter

Journalist & General Writing Opportunities:

Producing content for the AI Safety Newsletter

Writing explainer articles for our research publications

Covering news and policy developments related to AI

Drafting policy statements and related material
