Job description

The Opportunity:

Under limited supervision, assists in the design and development of data storage systems, processes and enhancements for company's complex high traffic, business critical internet site communications and/or network-based (cloud) product systems. Works on the design of enterprise storage environments, including enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel switches and Network Attached Storage (NAS) physical and virtual tape devices. Assists with the implementation of new or additional storage technology to improve infrastructure service locally and remotely.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Custodian to join our team and help drive the development, management, and governance of data across our organization. This critical role is designed to ensure the integrity, quality, and accessibility of Avantor’s data assets while fostering a culture of data stewardship across departments. What we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in data management, governance, or a related field, or end-to-end O2C/P2P
Proven expertise in data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data security
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for data management (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience with data management tools (Excel, Python, SQL, QV) and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluent English (written and spoken), French knowledge of advantage

Serve as a point of contact for data-related issues, offering support and resolving challenges related to data accessibility and integrity
Lead and manage data migration, integration, and transformation efforts across systems and platforms
