The Advanced Workflow Specialist is responsible for driving the identification and development of opportunities for regional growth in the advanced segment of Biopharma, Life Science Advanced Workflows, Biologics & High Resolution Mass Spectrometry.  This person will drive the demand generation engine and the creation of opportunities through various activities within the region.  This will be achieved by being the face of SCIEX for Biopharma, Life Science, Biologics & HRMS in the region, and through working collaboratively with sales representatives, the market development team, the applications team, and regional and national sales management.

This position reports to the Director of Business Development and is part of the Business Development Team working remotely to cover the Tri-state Region (CT, NJ, NY, PA, DE) as well as having some national responsibilities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive demand generation of new business opportunities mainly in the advanced segments of Biopharma, Life Sciences, Biologics & HRMS markets within the assigned region.  Experience in Metabolomics and Lipidomics a plus
  • Serve as the accurate mass champion within the region and drive accurate mass demand and opportunity creation
  • Maintain latest information on key workflows/market trends and incorporate into local sales strategies
  • Develop initiatives to nurture and leverage regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Work with Market Development Managers (MDM) in associated vertical to drive opportunities and quarterly sales initiatives, e.g. local seminars, lunch/learns, regional conferences, academic partnership programs as well as, Interface w/ SCIEX Applications team to support optimization/execution of technical demonstration activities for associated markets/workflows

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Ph.D level technical degree in life sciences
  • 5 years hands on MS experience; direct experience/knowledge in associated markets
  • Solid laboratory skills and good troubleshooting skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Mass Spectrometry (MS) and or Liquid chromatography (LC) is desired. Sciex equipment
  • Strong customer skills & Sales Acumen

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 50-75% travel, overnight, within territory or other locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must have the ability to meet Vendor Credentialing requirements, as an essential element of this position.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP or similar CRM software
  • Voice of the Customer: Collaborating with other functional and business leaders to ensure the Voice of the Customer is heard at the global, regional, product, and business unit levels.
  • Account Strategies: Partnering closely with colleagues in field sales and field service to develop and implement successful account strategies.

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000-20,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
