The salary for this position will be set based on the level of experience, skills, and qualifications the candidate brings to the role, in line with our commitment to equity and market competitiveness. The median salary for this role is $115,000 annually.

Role overview

The Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing will own the lifecycle marketing strategy to drive member awareness and engagement with our services through email and mobile channels. This role will report to the Director of Member Engagement and have 2 direct reports. They will be focused on driving revenue growth through account activations, interactions with our services, and ongoing retention. They will work closely with Creative, Data, Product, and Customer Success teams to maximize channel performance.

A day in the life…

  • Own the strategy and execution of lifecycle campaigns focused on member engagement and retention across business units representing multiple services. Channels will include email, SMS, and push.

  • Manage and develop a Lifecycle Marketing Team of 2 direct reports.

  • Lead optimization of segmentation, personalization, innovative creative design, and campaign execution. Audit existing communications for opportunities to maximize performance.

  • Work closely with the Member Marketing, Product, Engineering, Creative & Design, Customer Success, and Data teams to drive strategic vision and growth plans.

  • Develop reporting on campaign effectiveness and performance to plan. Provide data-driven analysis of initiatives, using data to guide future optimizations of all elements of our lifecycle programs.

  • Understand complexities and nuances of distinct business units’ services and audiences.

  • Optimize processes to maximize efficiency while maintaining advanced personalization and client satisfaction.

What we are looking for…

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline preferred, but not required. 

  • 7+ years of proven success managing Direct to Consumer (D2C) Lifecycle Marketing strategy and execution. Demonstrated expertise leveraging email to bring in new customer engagement, improve customer retention, and upsell/cross-sell to expand revenue growth. Bonus points for experience in SMS and push notifications.

  • A passion for data. Hands-on experience with reporting, A/B testing, and forecasting results. Proven experience creating data-driven strategies to increase performance. Experience with tools like Tableau or Looker and basic SQL knowledge a plus, but not required.

  • In-depth knowledge of marketing tools, platforms, and processes. Experience with an enterprise-grade marketing automation platform, such as Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo, or SFMC. Familiarity with HTML. Ability to optimize campaign processes to minimize errors, maximize efficiencies, and drive personalization at scale through automation.

  • Collaboration with Product stakeholders. Ability to influence Product roadmaps and create an integrated user experience across product and messaging channels.

  • A track record of effectively persuading key stakeholders. An empathetic, effective, creative problem solver capable of navigating a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Able to keep projects on track through direct communication while adapting to priorities.

  • Exceptional project management and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Persistent in problem-solving and able to guide a team to a high standard of excellence.

  • People leadership experience. At least 1-2 years of experience leading a team and developing talent.

Hiring Range

$106500-$123000

Annual

Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
