Consulting Services practice teams advocate for and build relationships with current and prospective Nordic project-based consultants and oversee consultant hiring, placement, and career development. The Practice Manager works directly with the Practice Specialist, Practice Director and/or Senior Practice Director, and Talent team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice including, candidate evaluation, consultant supervision, and opportunity management.The Practice Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Maintaining strong relationships with all consultants and key candidates assigned to the practice
Conducting phone and in-person interviews to ensure candidates meet Nordic hiring requirements
Advocating internally for consultant needs related to placement, extensions, and career development
Conducting regular consultant check-ins, inclusive of reviewing client work, project opportunities, and other topics
Providing feedback to consultants regarding work performance or other work-related issues
Providing coaching and mentorship on career growth and future opportunities
Regularly evaluating consultant performance and providing recommendations as to whether they should be terminated from Nordic
Completing contract renewal and resume update processes
Ensuring adherence to current business processes and participating in process improvement initiatives
Maintaining up-to-date consultant data and information in Nordic’s customer relationship management (CRM) system
Serving as an operational backup for other Practice Managers
Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary
Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s Maxims
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
2+ years’ experience in Healthcare IT preferred
5+ years’ professional experience required; professional services or consulting experience strongly preferred
Prior healthcare IT consulting experience is strongly preferred
Prior experience implementing, training, or supporting electronic health record software is strongly preferred
Relevant EHR certification or training is strongly preferred
Experience in effective direct people management is strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Driven to move quickly and motivated to win
Able to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities
Exhibits strength in relating to people, including the ability to deliver feedback and inspire and motivate others to succeed
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting customer service commitments and project timelines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computers, email, correspondence, and spreadsheets
Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment
Remote position
Occasional travel up to 10% of the time, or as practice needs dictate
