We are seeking a Sales Contract Management Director - Remote who will be the leader responsible for overseeing operations related to payor contracts, implementation of EDI relationships with payors and partners, as well as assumption and integration of new payor contracts from M&A activities and subsidiary TIN merger activities. The incumbent serves as the programmatic and operational leader for Sales Contracting and is responsible to the Vice President, Commercial Operations and works closely with Hanger Clinic RCM, Sales and regional leaders.
Your Impact:
- Leads teams responsible for administering contracts with Hanger Clinic payors including contracting process, systems implementation and monitoring of contracts. Provides in-depth financial analyses and develops proposals to optimize opportunities for negotiating/securing contracts.
- Uses financial data, membership information, metrics and contract terms to engage payors in disputes over payment rate, contract language, coverage guidelines and structure.
- Formulates objectives, goals and strategies in conjunction with business stakeholders. Provides a financial model and approval processes; defines floor bottoms/minimums, and contracting objectives for the field.
- Coordinates efforts to integrate and align Hanger Clinic contracting efforts among newly acquired organizations and for new partnerships between Hanger Clinic and organizations where Hanger Clinic will serve as the contracting agent.
- Prepares and delivers reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward meeting annual goals and objectives, to include performance related to finance, administrative and management activity, quality, and human resources.
- Establishes an annual operating and capital budget, guiding staff to effectively allocate resources based on contract and contract activity volume, space availability, budget constraints and program priorities.
- Prepares the company for anticipated payment system evolution/change and new risk arrangements. Keeps the company current in terms of new model payer relationships.
- Anticipates upstream bundling arrangements from physician and hospital referral sources and potential risk carve outs.
- Responsibility for implementing metrics and evaluating how managed care contracts are performing in conjunction with Finance and Operations functions
- Communicates and coordinates with various leadership across the country, community and organization.
- Ensure Medicare & Medicaid managed care contract compliance with Legal & Compliance standards. Development and maintenance of a good contract management system.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience as managed care, contract management in a provider related company including at least 3 years in a people management capacity
- Strong operations and project management experience required to work with local contracting personnel on many contracts across all states.
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
Additional Success Factors:
- Extensive knowledge of insurance industry operations, healthcare operations, and related contractual and financial relationships
- Demonstrated quantitative skills including creating proposals, forecasts and action plans
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements and coordination with Legal to comply with these public payer programs.
- Ability to analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan

Pay range of $156,000 to $195,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 25% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
