Your Impact 

Dedrone is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Drone Library Expert. As a Drone Library Expert at Dedrone, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and navigating the UAS market landscape. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us prioritize the development of detectors and support in recording the RF signature of drones. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our Sales and Sales Engineers to ensure seamless communication and alignment with our strategic objectives in countering unauthorized drone activity. 

 
What You’ll Do   
Location: Onsite in Kassel office 3 or more days a week, Other days working remotely 

Reports to: Director of RF Engineering 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of the UAS market, including emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory frameworks relevant to counter-drone operations. 
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to guide the development and prioritization of detectors tailored to the evolving threat landscape of unauthorized drone activity. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective strategies for recording the RF signature of drones and enhancing Dedrone's CUAS capabilities. 
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive drone library encompassing diverse models, specifications, and functionalities to support threat detection and response. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to Sales and Sales Engineers on technical aspects related to drone detection, RF signature analysis, and CUAS solutions. 
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, threat vectors, and adversarial tactics in the drone ecosystem, and contribute to enhancing Dedrone's technology stack. 

 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 
  • Proven experience in the UAS market with a deep understanding of drone technologies, applications, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of counter-drone operations. 
  • Strong technical background in RF signal analysis, detection systems, and data interpretation, with experience in CUAS technologies being highly advantageous. 
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools and software for RF signal analysis, data visualization, and threat intelligence integration. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem-solve, and adapt to rapidly changing threat landscapes and technological advancements. 
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the aerospace, defense, or security industry is highly desirable.
