What you can expect:

As a Business Intelligence Solutions Specialist, you will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across our organization. Your expertise in data integration, transformation, visualization, and process automation will enhance our reporting capabilities and optimize operational efficiency. Working closely with teams across departments, you will design solutions that leverage Power BI, Salesforce, and other platforms to deliver impactful business intelligence insights.

Working with us is never routine so the first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work.

• Develop and manage data pipelines using Power Query, Power BI, Salesforce, Certinia (FinancialForce), and other ETL tools to integrate data from diverse sources.
• Utilize and optimize dataflows within Power BI and Dataverse, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with security requirements.
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to support various business divisions with real-time insights.
• Implement automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools while documenting workflows for transparency and scalability.
• Enhance workflow efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, proposing data-driven solutions, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Train and support team members in using BI tools effectively, staying updated on advancements in data technologies, and recommending relevant tools for adoption.

Your first year with us:

Within three months, you will:

• Gain a deep understanding of Preferred by Nature’s mission, structure, and key workflows. Familiarize yourself with Power BI, Power Query, Salesforce, Certinia (FinancialForce), and other BI tools.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting existing dashboards, reports, and dataflows, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Collaborate with teams to identify data challenges and start contributing to workflow automation and integration solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps.

Within six months, you will:

• Take full ownership of developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow across systems and improving reporting capabilities.
• Lead efforts to enhance dashboards and reports, while proactively identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing automation solutions.
• Provide training and guidance to colleagues on using BI tools effectively, ensuring teams can interpret and utilize data insights.

Within one year, you will:

• Spearhead organization-wide data projects, optimizing analytics and decision-making processes across multiple departments.
• Establish best practices for data integration, automation, and security, while exploring new technologies and advanced analytics solutions.
• Serve as a mentor to new team members, fostering a data-driven mindset and continuous improvement within the organization

Important that you:

• Have a bachelor’s or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Possess strong experience in data integration, automation, and visualization, including Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and ETL processes.
• Have proficiency in Salesforce, Certinia (FinancialForce), Dataverse, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, and security protocols (Row-Level Security, data governance).
• Are skilled in workflow automation tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
• Excellent in written and verbal communication in English

Would also be great, but not necessary, if you:

• Hold relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar Power BI certification
• Have experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven insights.
• Are familiar with Agile project management methodologies.
• Have worked in international, remote-based organizations.
