Job description

Corwin seeks a Marketing Associate to support the implementation of marketing plans for books. This individual will execute email campaigns, advertisements, collateral, webinars, website enhancements, and social media campaigns.

This position is based in a remote home office anywhere in the U.S. and is available immediately. Occasional travel for organizational meetings, industry events, or Corwin events may be required.

What you’ll do:

Implement marketing plans:

  • Support the implementation of strategic, multi-channel sales and marketing plans as directed in a timely and responsive manner
  • Conduct market research to identify key associations, publications, and promotional opportunities to support marketing planning
  • Schedule webinars, develop and implement campaigns to generate and nurture leads, and prepare presentation materials
  • Complete ad hoc projects as identified by manager

Manage campaigns across marketing channels:

  • Support the implementation of strategic, multi-channel sales and marketing plans as directed in a timely and responsive manner
  • Create ads, email campaigns, social media campaigns, and brochures
  • Write engaging copy that supports business objectives, uses keywords, and adheres to established brand guidelines and voice
  • Work to deadlines & budgets
  • Track and report on campaign success
  • Develop and re-purpose high-quality content assets appropriate to each phase of the sales funnel
  • Incorporate social media and blogging into your campaign strategies
  • Proofread all campaigns and collateral
  • Be able to effectively collaborate with designers and advertising specialists to develop creative projects and advertising campaigns
  • Facilitate website changes to keep content fresh and current, including creating landing pages

Develop product, market, and process knowledge:

  • Continually develop product, market, and competitor knowledge through conventions, editorial, author, and customer communication, as well as online research
  • Serve as a lead on departmental projects, including being a liaison with other departments on key Corwin initiatives

Maintain customer and author relationships:

  • Act as representative of the company when interacting with potential or existing customers and authors
  • When communicating with customers and thought leaders, take appropriate actions to ensure they have a positive experience with, and image of, the company

What you’ll bring:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in marketing or a related field
  • Experience developing & executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail and a strict adherence to deadlines
  • Marketing automation experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication, organizational, writing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to travel to 2-3 conferences per year
